Video Outline: Flip Your Classroom Through Reverse Instruction

Traditional Model of Instruction:
- Teacher/professor lectures in class
- Practice problems are done during class
- Homework problems/questions are assigned
- Student goes home and tries to do homework

Problems With :
- Class periods are too short
- Not enough time for student questions
- Students can’t get help when they  need it
- Homework doesn’t lead to subject mastery

The Alternative: Flip Your Classroom Through Reverse Instruction

What is the Flipped Classroom?:
- Lectures are pre-recorded and delivered on-demand
- Class time is reserved for student questions, guided practice or lab time

This arrangement "flips" the traditional model by assigning lectures as homework and doing homework in class.”

How To Get Started:
- Pre-record your lectures
- Explain the flipped classroom model to your students
- Plan what you will be doing in class
- Seek student feedback
